Hello!
I’m Dimo and I’m a licensed tour guide in Rome and Vatican city.
I am an archaeologist, graduated at the University La Sapienza in Rome.
During my university studies in Classical Archaeology, I participated in national and international projects, such as the study of Roman pottery in the area of Testaccio, several archaeological excavations in Rome (Roman Forum, Palatine Hill) and in the Lazio region area (Albano Laziale, Falacrinae and Segni). Moreover, I focused on ancient art history with a thesis on iconographic motifs in Roman art.
After my degree, I completed my PhD, with a workshop focused on Sacred architecture in late Republican Rome and influences with the Greek area. Furthermore, I spent periods of study abroad (France and Greece) analyzing in depth the topic of the archaeological and architectural developments in the Greek-Roman world.
I really love my job since I like sharing my knowledge with people coming from all over the world!
Do not hesitate to contact me if you think I could be the right guide for you!
