General FAQs

Accessibility

It depends on the tour. For example, If you chose a full day walking tour, such as our tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum with an archaeologist you will have to walk about 4 km.

Using a stroller is always possible, but we do NOT recommend it at all inside archaeological sites where the road surfaces could be very bumpy sometimes. If possible, we recommend that you replace it with a baby carrier .

If you chose one of our private tours with transportation included you can safely store your stroller inside the trunk of the vehicle at your disposal while you’re on tour.

You can take your baby with you. However, it is necessary to book a spot for them as well. If you chose a tour with transportation included and you are traveling with children under the age of 2, a child seat will need to be added to the vehicle. Contact us to better arrange the transportation service for your little one.

Unfortunately none of our small group tours can accommodate people with mobility issues or wheelchairs users. However, many of our private tours are fully accessible to everyone.

Contact us in advance and let us know about your mobility issues, and we will be happy to arrange a fantastic experience for you.

Meeting Point

Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation email containing the tour details, including the meeting point and any other useful information.

If you booked a small group tour, we always recommend joining us at the meeting point about 15 minutes early. The guide can wait only a few minutes after the scheduled starting time. After that, the tour will start. However, if we have availability for another turn (on the same day or in the days after) we will be happy to reschedule your tour.

If you chose a private tour, you will find your guide or driver at the meeting point holding a sign with your name on it. If you chose a small group tour, our greeting staff will be waiting for you at the meeting point holding a sign with “ASKOS TOURS” written on top.
